There is no doubt that the United Kingdom has an astounding quantity of things to do. Whether you are a cultural vulture exploring London’s museums and galleries, a beachgoer plunging through tides of Cornwall, or a golfer teeing off in the birthplace of golfing in St Andrews, the United Kingdom has a lot to offer. One of the biggest reasons to visit the UK in the summer, because the temperature is at its finest. The promise of warm weather (or as hot as it gets in Britain) and lengthy daylight hours is enticing.

1. Northumberland Coast – Northumberland, just over the border in northern England, is one of the most underappreciated areas in Britain and one of the greatest places to visit in the summer.
Northumberland’s shoreline is dotted with castles, beaches, and fantastic seafood restaurants.
There are fortifications to please any history buff, from Bamburgh Castle to Dunstanburgh Castle. And near inland lies Alnwick, which is home to one of England’s most iconic castles.
2. Derby – Derby is frequently neglected as a UK holiday destination, with Leeds to a north and Birmingham to the south taking precedence. It may not be on everyone’s bucket list, but its interesting industrial background and flourishing brewing sector are definitely worth a weekend. To learn about the city’s importance during the British Industrial Revolution, start with the Museum of Making.
3. Brighton – Brighton, on the UK’s south coast, is one of the greatest destinations to visit in the summer. This city is well-known for its hedonistic heritage, pebble beaches, and pleasure pier.
Brighton, as a coastal resort, comes into its own during the summer months. On bright days, the beaches are ideal, and it’s enjoyable to go out on the pier and see the views from the end.
4. Isles of Scilly – These islands are among the most picturesque in England.
This archipelago is a veritable treasure trove of natural and man-made beauties. It’s a terrific area to go back to nature, with magnificent beaches and vibrant ports.
There’s a lot to enjoy about this region of England, from the Tresco Abbey Garden, which has plant varieties from five continents and beautiful ruined arches, to the seaside walking pathways and delicious local seafood.
Summer is the ideal season to visit the Isles of Scilly to take advantage of the long days, magnificent light, and outdoor activities that the islands have to offer.

North Wales – The coastline of North Wales is studded with attractive, wholesome seaside villages with safe, sandy beaches.North Wales is one such gem, filled with history and native customs also with kilometers of rocky coastlines. The pride of this region’s residents is evident, and with so many things to offer, it’s clear to see why.
If you enjoy rich meals, the beautiful outdoors, cozy pubs, and learning about new cultures and old customs, Wales is a fantastic place to spend your money and time.
6. Scottish Hebrides – The islands of Scotland are one of Britain’s best-kept secrets. I’d heard stories of the stunning beaches, majestic scenery, and distinct culture of Scotland’s far north, and I couldn’t wait to experience them for myself. And the Hebridean Isles of Lewis and Harris couldn’t have put on a greater display for me in the lovely August sunlight.
These islands off the western coast of Scotland not only represent one of the most beautiful spots in the UK, but they are also excellent for escape from the summer throng.Even in the height of summer, you may have the islands to yourself.
